Evaluation of Tetrazolium (TZ) Tests on Small Vegetable Seeds

CONCLUSIONS

There are some kinds of damage to seeds, such as broken, missing or decayed  structures, that are visible both in germination and tetrazolium tests.

There are other abnormal seedlings, such as those with short roots, weak or immature seedlings, that are visible in a germination test, but are difficult to detect in a tetrazolium test.
