The vigor test developed by the Ransom Seed
Laboratory combines several tests to identify and evaluate
those properties which determine the potential for rapid,
uniform emergence and development of normal plants under
variable climatic conditions.
When submitting samples for a vigor test,
please send at least 1500 – 2000 seeds as the vigor
evaluation involves several tests.

% Normal germination under optimum

Uniformity of sprout length at an early
